About the quiz
- What is SpaceSoul?
- SpaceSoul is a free quiz about life at home. The Home Vibe Quiz asks fifteen either-or questions and gives you one of eight Home Vibe Types. Each type combines three home preferences — solitude or shared time, order or flexibility, and function or atmosphere. You can read an introduction to all eight on the All Types page.
- Is this a psychological test?
- No. The quiz is for entertainment and personal reflection. Its results are not professional advice, a diagnosis, or a guarantee of any outcome. It has no clinical basis and should not replace advice from a qualified professional. Treat the result as a description of a home preference, not a verdict about who you are.
- How is my result decided?
- The quiz uses a fixed scoring rule, and all eight result descriptions are written in advance. The fifteen questions are divided into three groups of five: solitude or shared time, order or flexibility, and function or atmosphere. In each group, the side chosen more often sets that dimension. The three dimension results then combine into one of the eight types. The same set of answers always produces the same result.
- What do the three dimensions cover?
- The quiz groups its questions around three home preferences. Solitude or shared time looks at whether you tend to prefer time and space for yourself or sharing everyday life with people close to you. Order or flexibility looks at whether you prefer a stable setup and advance planning or room to adjust as daily life changes. Function or atmosphere looks at whether practical use or the feeling of a space tends to come first. Each dimension is scored separately, so answers in one do not affect the other two.
- Why are there several questions for each dimension?
- A single question shows only the choice you make in one situation, so the quiz looks at each dimension through five everyday situations. For solitude or shared time, those situations include an unplanned day at home, recovering after a busy week, using a shared area, settling into a new place, and what home means to you. The other two dimensions also use five questions drawn from different parts of daily life. The result for each dimension is based on the pattern across those five answers, not any single answer.
