What the quiz looks at
The quiz uses 15 either-or questions about everyday home life. There are no right answers. Each choice simply points toward the kind of space, rhythm, and company that tends to help you feel most at ease.
The questions are organized around three practical tensions that show up in many homes: whether you recharge more through solitude or shared time, whether you prefer order or flexibility, and whether function or atmosphere leads your decisions.
The quiz is designed around habits rather than income, room size, ownership, or design knowledge. A small rented room can feel deeply personal, and a large home can still be difficult to live in. What matters here is the way you use the space you have.
Three dimensions, five questions each
Solitude or shared time asks what helps you reset. Some people protect quiet time and a dependable personal retreat; others feel most at home when a space can welcome conversation and connection.
Order or flexibility asks how you like a home to respond to real life. You may enjoy clear places, routines, and plans, or prefer a space that can change shape as the day changes.
Function or atmosphere asks what you notice first. A functional home makes daily tasks easy and comfortable. An atmosphere-led home uses light, color, sound, texture, or small rituals to shape how a day feels.
None of these preferences is better than another. The point is not to become more organized, more social, or more aesthetic. It is to notice which tradeoffs are worth making for the way you actually want to live.
How a result is chosen
Each dimension has five questions, so one side always receives a clear majority. The three majority choices combine into one of eight Home Vibe Types. The result is a simple description of a current preference pattern, not a permanent label.
A different season of life, a move, a new roommate, or a new routine can change what feels supportive at home. You are welcome to retake the quiz whenever your life or space changes.
A result can also be mixed in real life. You may love a calm private bedroom and still enjoy hosting friends in the living room. The type names describe the overall pattern created by your answers, not every preference you have in every room.
How to use your result
Use the result as a conversation starter. It can help you name why a room feels calming, why a shared space creates friction, or what a small change could make easier. It is most useful when you treat it as a prompt for noticing rather than a rule to follow.
If part of a result does not fit, that is useful information too. You might be responding to a temporary constraint, sharing a home with people who have different needs, or discovering that one room needs a different approach from the rest of the home.
- Keep one idea that already feels true about your home.
- Choose one low-cost change that could support your daily routine.
- Share the result with a partner, housemate, or friend if it helps start a useful conversation.
Your answers and privacy
You do not need an account. While you take the quiz, answers are kept in sessionStorage in the current browser tab so a refresh can preserve progress. Closing the tab or choosing Take the Quiz Again clears that quiz session. SpaceSoul does not collect your quiz answers on its servers.
The result card is also created in your browser. If you download or share it, your device and selected sharing service handle that action. Read the Privacy Policy for the current details and any future changes to how the site operates.
This approach keeps the quiz lightweight: you can explore a result without creating a profile or giving the site a personal history of your answers.
